Hello from Grad school! I am honored to join the TM-IOS Elite Triathlon Team for the second year. Having raced for the past 7 year, I truly enjoyed the last year of racing with the team. I am currently enrolled in Duke University Materials Science Engineering Ph.D. Program and the Fuqua Full-Time MBA Program. While at Duke, I am honored to serve as head coach for the Duke Triathlon Club and Duke Cycling team.
My most recent years of racing have been very promising. Last year, I placed 18th overall, 6th amateur in the Rhode Island 70.3. I also qualified for the Ironman World Championship through my 2nd M25-29 Ironman Wisconsin finish (posting the third fastest marathon split of the day).
My training methodologies have developed from the traditional volume-volume-volume approach towards a highly-quality based program. Having previously been coached by Eric Bean, 5th fastest american Kona 2008, I have learned the value and results in high intensity work. Most of all, I enjoy the sport of endurance competition and try to enter as many races and my limited budget can afford.
In all, I enjoy cracking jokes, laughing hard, and I look forward to hard workouts with fellow masochists. Thank you to all the sponsors of the TM-IOS Elite team, I look forward to seeing everyone at the races!
