Swim: That hurt. A day later, my back is sore, my arms are sore. I don’t remember the last time I was in the pool for training, but for me, trying to maintain the proper swim form when not in shape just requires too much thinking and effort. It is so much easier to straight arm the swim stroke and forget about technique.
Swim: See Triangle Triathlon, almost same scenario. Water was warm (really warm, I couldn’t get out of the water fast enough), and the swim was measured long (or maybe not, water was really warm). Felt like it took forever to get to the finish and it did, 2 minutes slower than last year (2010).
